ELECTIONS AND E-EDITION 2008

Newspapers and e-Editions (a digital newspaper) are a tremendous resource for election news. In a big race like a presidential election, reporters give daily updates of what candidates are doing and saying. Find stories in today’s Herald-Leader (e-edition or paper version) about the campaigns of the Democrats and Republican candidates for president. Write out the three most important things each did or said. Compare lists. Are the candidates talking about the same issues? Why or why not?

Use the Herald-Leader e-EDITION
The toolbar at the top or side of the e-EDITION allows readers to move through the Herald-Leader with pull-down menus. Pull-down menus allows you to pick specific pages to visit by number and to pick specific sections of the e-EDITION quickly. Go to www.nieconnects.com for more activities.
