ELECTIONS AND E-EDITION 2008
If young people voted in greater numbers they could have an impact on the outcome of a close election. Think of ways to encourage voters 18-25 to vote in this year’s election. Design a public service advertisement showcasing your ideas. Share it with your high schools.
Issues that affect people in their daily lives are called “domestic” or “pocketbook” issues. What do you think are the top domestic issues this year? Compile a list. Share your list with friends and discuss why those issues are on your list. Finish by writing a short essay.
With a Herald-Leader eEDITION, it is important to know how to fi nd the information you need. An eEDITION toolbar usually contains icons that make it easy to use the electronic newspaper. They are “Print,” “e-Mail” and “Download.” Find a story in today’s eEDITION and experiment with these icons. Taking time to explore your Herald-Leader eEDITION will make being a subscriber more enjoyable.
