ELECTIONS AND E-EDITION 2008
Politics involves more than just elections. Politics involves how leaders lead, what issues people support and how they choose to achieve goals. Politics involves all the people of our country and it involves the interests of specific groups. Go on a Political Scavenger Hunt through the eEDITION.
Look for and print out the following:
- A story about a political candidate
- A photo of a place where candidates might meet voters
- A story about an issue that would be important to voters in Kentucky
- News of another nation important to U.S. interests
- An ad that expresses an opinion about an issue
- News about something the U.S. Congress did
People become leaders in different ways. Some are elected in the political process, and some become leaders as a result of things they have done. In the eEDITION look at stories and photos and find leaders. What makes them leaders?
The Herald-Leader eEDITION provides the structure and comprehensiveness that long have made print newspapers an effective teaching tool. EEDITIONs capitalize on our interest in the Internet, introduce the resources of information technology and strengthen the electronic skills we need for success in the 21st century.
