ELECTIONS AND E-EDITION 2008
Editorial cartoons use art to express opinions. In a presidential campaign cartoonists offer visual commentary about the actions of candidates, their
personalities and the issues making news. Look through the Herald-Leader eEDITION for news of the presidential race. Then draw an editorial cartoon offering an opinion on the issue or candidates.
With the Herald-Leader eEDITIONs, readers can browse the newspaper page by page as they would do with a paper copy, or they can use the tools of computer technology to focus and speed up the search for information. Toolbars, hot links and interactive features make information available with the click of a mouse or a few key strokes. Search functions allow readers to browse related news from recent editions or seek information by keyword.
The front page Index of an eEDITION lets you fi nd information about what is inside the Herald-Leader in an easy way. Click on the Index on Page 1 of today’s eEDITION. Then go to the toolbar and fi nd a pull-down that offers a Display Mode, Graphic Mode or Text Mode. Try each mode. Write a sentence or two explaining each mode for future reference.
