AN AUDITORY LEARNER?
An auditory learner learns by listening. Do you sometimes read things aloud to yourself so that you can hear them and understand them? When you try to remember something, can you sometimes “hear” in your mind the way it was told to you? If you learn things when they are explained to you and if you like learning from listening and speaking, then you are an auditory learner.
Listen and Learn
Auditory learners do great with “study buddies.” They learn best when they talk to someone else about the material. If you are an auditory learner, find someone else who learns that way, too, and the two of you can really help each other succeed.
When you’re studying alone, do it in a place where you won’t disturb anyone so that you can read your notes and textbook aloud to yourself. Of course, you’ll want to do this in a quiet place where music, TV or other sounds won’t distract you.
