Newspaper in Education grants for 2011-12
NIE sponsored newspaper PAPER copies of the Herald-Leader are ONLY available for delivery to elementary and middle schools onTuesdays. (minimum order 10 copies) Other days can be ordered by schools. Cost = 45¢ for each newspaper. eEDITION is part of this grant and is available 7-days through NIE grants.

When will my newspaper delivery start? Please allow 5 business days for your delivery to begin. If newspapers are not received at this time, immediately contact Kriss Johnson at

Incomplete orders or orders which do not meet the minimum (10 copies per delivery) cannot be processed.

What do I do if I have delivery problems? Contact Kriss Johnson at 859-231-3353. NIE will report your problem to the District Manager for your area.

What is eEDITION?
It's a digital replica of the Herald-Leader! Front Page, Sports, Features with comics, Opinion Page, Classifieds, NIE supplements, ads and more, just like the print version.

When will my subscription to eEDITION start?
Give us a couple business days. You will receive an e-mail with directions and your username and password.

How can I use eEDITION?
Use eEDITION with a Smartboard, in a computer lab, with lap tops, on any computer your students have access to. It's okay to give the username and password to your students.
