Bullying – elementary, middle
Graphic novels are the hottest new things in education. Like comic books, they are engaging and concise, utilizing small amounts of text and detailed graphics. This “graphic novella” for NIE focuses on the prevalent problem of bullying. In it, readers are asked to make choices and to think about strategies for handling a bully. Every child in school knows about bullying, as each one is a victim, a bully, or a witness. This important section helps them cope.

CHANGES to the Herald-Leader’s Newspaper in Education Program.
In an effort to “go green” and bring educational excellence to the digital age the NIE program will offer middle and high school students the sponsored NIE Herald-Leader in the digital eEDITION version instead of paper versions. No paper versions of the Herald-Leader will be available through Newspaper in Education sponsorships for middle and high schools.

Elementary teachers can request only the Tuesday Herald-Leader in a paper version and other days of the week as eEDITION paid through NIE sponsorships.

K-12 schools – in Fayette, Madison, Clark, Jessamine, Bourbon, Woodford and Scott Counties: Additional classroom sets (Mon.-Fri.) of the Herald-Leader (paper edition) can be ordered for 45 cents each. (min.10 per delivery) To make this purchase contact Jennifer – jroyse1@herald-leader.com
